Caldicott Guardian, IG, GDPR & SAR Update

Description

Caldicott Guardian Update

The role of the Caldicott Guardian is currently evolving to meet the challenge of implementing - "Information to share and not to share" - The Information Governance review (Caldicott 2 published 2013) across the Health and Social Care System.  There is also a need to deliver the recommendations of the Review of Data Security, Consent and Opt Outs (Published July'16).  Further guidance is expected to be published later in the year about the role of Caldicott Guardians.

This half day course is aimed at Senior Management who need to understand their role and responsibilities as the organisation's Caldicott Guardian.

We recommend that this course is attended by both the:

  • Caldicott Guardian (usually the Senior Partner)
  • Practice Manager

This is so that the organisation's Caldicott Guardian is able to understand their responsibilities and what they need to do within their own organisation, and the Practice Manager will be able to support the Caldicott Guardian and will usually be the first point of contact for any queries or issues that occur.

It is mandatory that all Caldicott Guardians attend an annual update training session to remain compliant with your DS&P Toolkit.

IG, GDPR & SAR Update

An update on Information Governance, General Data Protection Regulations and Subject Access Requests aimed at Practice Management.

The session aims to provide you with updated knowledge and information for the tasks and requests you receive.
