Description

The role of the Caldicott Guardian is currently evolving to meet the challenge of implementing "Information to Share and Not to Share" - the Information Governance Review (Caldicott 2 published 2013) across the Health and Social Care system. There is also a need to deliver the recommendations of the Review of Data Security, Consent and opt Outs (published 2016). Further guidance is expected to be published later in the year about the role of Caldicott Guardians.

This half day course is aimed at Senior Management who need to understand their role and responsibilities as their organisation's Caldicott Guardian.

We recommend that this course is attended by both the:

  • Caldicott Guardian (usually the Senior Partner)
  • Practice Manager

This is so that the organisation's Caldicott Guardian is able to understand their responsibilities and what they need to do in their own organisation, and the Practice Manager will be able to support the Caldicott Guardian and will usually be the first point of contact for any queries or issues that occur.

It is mandatory that all Caldicott Guardians attend an annual update training session to remain compliant with your DS & P Toolkit.

Joining instructions will be emailed to all attendees prior to the event. If you have not received these two working days before the event, please contact us.
